The Finals fans are sad Embark “ruined” new store addition with big change

As a dedicated and longtime player of The Finals, I must admit that the recent update left me with a bittersweet feeling. On one hand, I’m thrilled about the new beach-themed items and the addition of the flamethrower soak ‘n’ scorch skin – it’s a unique twist on a classic weapon skin! However, the change in the emote featuring Nama Tama has left me, and apparently many others, feeling a tad disappointed.

In each weekly update for The Finals game, there’s a refresh of the in-game store items. This means a variety of fresh additions such as weapon skins, cosmetics, and emotes become available for players to purchase. Although everyone looks forward to the store updates, some fans of The Finals are disappointed because a new emote, Embark, has been altered significantly compared to its version in the beta, leading them to feel that it was “ruined.”

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can tell you that the latest update from Embark is certainly something to look forward to. The World Tour changes seem intriguing, and the addition of the Emerald Rank is a welcome sight for those of us who have been grinding our way through the ranks. However, it’s disappointing to see no weapon balance changes or buffs to Heavy and Medium classes this time around. That being said, the leak about a new community event Legendary skin reward has me excited, even though the event itself hasn’t started yet. All in all, I’m eagerly awaiting the start of the event and the chance to show off that sweet new skin!

Although some players were disheartened by the absence of weapon and class adjustments in yesterday’s update, an additional group of enthusiasts have expressed dissatisfaction over the addition of a new emote in The Finals shop.

The Finals emote change disappoints fans

In the latest version 3.8.0 of The Finals, we received an update to our store featuring summer-themed beach items as a new addition. Among these, the standout item was the flamethrower “soak ‘n’ scorch” skin which resembles a water gun; it could have been even more appealing if instead of fire, it torched enemies with water instead.

Additional features were incorporated such as Lewis Gun animations, however, the new emote featuring a player kicking a beach ball has sparked debate within the game’s community. On the subreddit, the original poster (OP) jag_the_sexy_cactus expresses disappointment towards Embark, claiming that the modification of the emote from its beta version is perceived as detrimental to it.

Back when we were testing the game, my favorite character, Namatama, the adorable egg-shaped mascot, was the one you’d interact with on the beach. You could catch him, hear his unique sound, and even give him a friendly kick. Now, unfortunately, they’ve swapped out Namatama, and I can’t help but feel a little sad about it.

In response to the original post, some comments express a desire for the Namatama squeaker toy, such as “I must have my Namatama squeaks,” “I need the Namatama one back!,” and “The Namatama one was my favorite during the beta. Sometimes when you kicked it, it would go really far, and that was hilarious.”

Although the animation might only feature a beach ball instead of Nama Tama, there’s a chance it could still be launched at some point in the future. Fingers crossed that it returns to the shop or becomes part of a future battle pass, given its popularity among fans.
