In a recent chat, when they asked me about my experience stepping into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically regarding my clandestine role in The Fantastic Four: Origin Story, I found myself a bit tight-lipped. Yet, with a smile, I did share that I’ve already wrapped up filming for this intriguing project.

Lyonne expressed (through ET) that at this stage of life, she recognizes everything as a precious gift and fortunate circumstance. She’s already completed the Fantastic Four project and is currently working on Poker Face.

Under Matt Shakman’s guidance, who was behind the scenes of all nine episodes in the WandaVision miniseries, The Fantastic Four: First Steps is being directed. His work on the Elizabeth Olsen-led Disney+ show garnered him two Emmy Award nominations, one for Outstanding Directing for a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. In this MCU reboot, Pedro Pascal portrays Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn steps into the role of Johnny Storm/ Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach takes on Ben Grimm/The Thing.

New actors joining the lineup include Julia Garner (known from Ozark), portraying a character resembling Silver Surfer’s “Shalla-Bal” version, and Ralph Ineson (famous for his work in Harry Potter) as Galactus. Additionally, John Malkovich (Places in the Heart), Paul Walter Hauser (Black Bird), and Natasha Lyonne (The Russian Doll) are also part of the cast, though their roles have not been specified yet.
