In the upcoming series, “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” it’s been disclosed that there will be yet another antagonist making an appearance aside from Galactus and the Silver Surfer, as revealed by Joseph Quinn.
In U.S. theaters next month, the new Marvel Cinematic Universe film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” will be released, helmed by director Matt Shakman. The star-studded cast includes Johnny Storm/Human Torch portrayed by Quinn, Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic played by Pedro Pascal, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman brought to life by Vanessa Kirby, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing.
What did Joseph Quinn say about The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ secret villain?
At the recent CCXPMX 25 conference, a video posted by CultureCrave showed Quinn announcing that Mole Man is set to appear in the upcoming Marvel film.

Quinn commented, ‘There’s a host of fantastic characters within it.’ Among these is Mole Man, who’s quite marvelous, but the main antagonist is Galactus, a colossal, malevolent space deity consuming planets…Ralph [Ineson] portrays him exceptionally well. Silver Surfer, skillfully played by Julia Garner, also graces our screens. We feel fortunate to have had her in the film, as she delivers an outstanding performance. This movie is indeed filled with numerous impressive characters.
It’s been buzzing around that Mole Man might make an appearance in The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but so far, there’s no official word on this. Since none of the trailers have shown him, speculation online suggests Paul Walter Hauser could be portraying Mole Man, as his role in the film has been confirmed, though we don’t know who he’s playing yet.
Amidst a lively, futuristic 1960s atmosphere, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps presents Marvel’s original family – Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), Johnny Storm (Human Torch) and Ben Grimm (The Thing) – as they tackle their toughest challenge to date.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps will be released in United States theaters on July 25, 2025.
