What is The Fantastic Four: First Steps budget?

The upcoming movie, as per Variety’s recent report, is anticipated to have a budget exceeding $200 million, making it more expensive than Thunderbolts*, whose budget was approximately $180 million.

*Thunderbolts refers to the Marvel Comics superhero team known as Thunderbolts in this context.

According to a recent report, the movie’s production cost falls within the average range for the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) compared to Shakman’s previous films. To be more specific, it is comparable to blockbusters like Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), Black Panther (2018), and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 (2017), as they all have budgets around $200 million. Interestingly, only three MCU films are known to have a production cost over $300 million: Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Avengers: Endgame, with their respective budgets being $300m, $365m, and $400m.

The principal actors of The Fantastic Four: First Steps include Pedro Pascal portraying Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm. The movie also features Ralph Ineson as Galactus and Julia Garner in the dual roles of Shalla-Bal/Silver Surfer. Furthermore, Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, and Natasha Lyonne have been brought on board for unspecified roles.
