Game of Thrones’ Kit Harington has joined the cast of The Family Plan 2.
The upcoming film, titled “The Family Plan 2”, serves as a follow-up to “The Family Plan” that premiered in 2023, featuring Mark Wahlberg portraying the character Dan Morgan.
In October 2024, it was revealed that production on The Family Plan 2 has begun. Mark Wahlberg will reprise his role for the sequel, along with Michelle Monaghan as Jessica Morgan, Zoe Colletti as Nina Morgan, and Van Crosby as Kyle Morgan.
By the set deadline, Harrington has officially become a part of the film’s cast. At present, specifics about his role are being tightly guarded.
Kit Harington is primarily recognized for his role as Jon Snow in the popular HBO series Game of Thrones. Additionally, he portrayed Henry Muck during the third season of Industry on both HBO and BBC. His film credits include Silent Hill: Revelation (2012), Pompeii, How to Train Your Dragon 2, Seventh Son, How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, and Eternals (2021), among several others.

In a different setting, the sequel to “The Family Plan” unfolds during the Christmas season across Europe. Dan meticulously arranges an ideal getaway for the Morgan family, yet their past refuses to stay buried, resurfacing in unforeseen and unsettling manners.
Under the guidance of director Simon Cellan Jones, it is David Coggeshall who crafted the screenplay for The Family Plan 2. Skydance Media, represented by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger, are producing this movie together with Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson from Municipal Pictures, and John G. Scotti. Cellan Jones takes on the role of an executive producer in this project.
In a March 2024 interview with ComingSoon, Jones mentioned the possibility of a sequel to The Family Plan, stating, “It’s exciting to consider bringing back the original cast. I’ve been reviewing some scripts lately, and there’s this odd phase where I enjoy not being busy, but then I worry about not having work a month later. Isn’t that familiar?
