As of now, no actors have been confirmed for Flanagan’s Exorcist movie, and specific plot points are still being kept confidential. In 2021, Universal and Blumhouse acquired the rights to The Exorcist from Morgan Creek for a whopping $400 million.

Flanagan expressed his excitement about a new project set in the world of “The Exorcist,” stating that the original film inspired him to become a filmmaker.
