If you haven’t seen it before or perhaps didn’t catch it when it initially aired, The Empress revolves around a Bavarian princess who ascends to the position of Austrian empress after marrying Emperor Franz Joseph in the 1800s. In the first season, Sisi challenges societal norms and even contemplates going back to Bavaria. However, by the end of the season, she discloses her pregnancy with Franz’s child.
As a gamer, I must say the cliffhanger at the end of Season 1 had me on edge about Sisi and Franz’s bond. Yet, the synopsis for Season 2 hints that they’ve managed to keep their relationship going strong amidst her pregnancy announcement. In this upcoming season, it seems our royal couple will be dealing with fresh dangers, new adversaries, and mounting pressures as they navigate the precarious future of the throne, with each decision potentially tipping the balance one way or another.
