Who is in The Electric State teaser trailer?
The Electric State teaser provides viewers with a closer look at the main cast led by Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan (The Goonies). Additional cast members include Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, Stanley Tucci, and Woody Norman, with Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, and Alan Tudyk as the voices of the robots. The screenplay is written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, based on the graphic novel by Simon Stålenhag. In addition to directing, the Russo Brothers are also producing the movie.
In a 1990s-inspired, futuristic setting that’s not quite our reality, this film tells the story of Michelle, a teenage orphan making her way through life in a world where once friendly robot characters, now exiled, were once companions to humans but have since rebelled unsuccessfully. When her life is turned upside down one night by the arrival of Cosmo, a charming and enigmatic robot who seems to be manipulated by Christopher – Michelle’s brilliant younger brother, who she believed was deceased – everything she thought she knew about the world is challenged.
Eager to locate her supposedly lost sibling, Michelle embarks on a journey through the American southwest with Cosmo. Before long, she’s drawn into an alliance with Keats, a shady smuggler, and his sarcastic robot companion, Herman. Together, they delve into the Exclusion Zone, a desert area enclosed by walls where robots have taken over, discovering a peculiar band of new robotic comrades along the way. As they uncover more about Christopher’s disappearance, Michelle and Keats realize that the forces at play are far more sinister than they initially thought.
