Netflix has unveiled the concluding preview for “The Electric State“, the forthcoming science fiction journey featuring Chris Pratt from Marvel fame and Millie Bobby Brown known from Stranger Things. The movie is set to stream online as of March 14, 2025.
The movie is helmed by the team behind Avengers: Endgame, specifically Anthony and Joe Russo, from a script penned by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. In addition, the star-studded cast features Ke Huy Quan (Oscar winner), Jason Alexander, Giancarlo Esposito, Stanley Tucci, and Woody Norman. Notably, Anthony Mackie, Woody Harrelson, Brian Cox, Jenny Slate, and Alan Tudyk provide voices for the robots within the film.

This animated film, titled “The Electric State,” is brought to you by the team consisting of The Russo Brothers, Mike Larocca, Angela Russo-Otstot, Chris Castaldi, Patrick Newall, Anthony J. In a revised 1990s setting that blends futurism with nostalgia, this movie tells the story of Michelle, a teenager growing up in a world where friendly cartoon-like robots, once harmonious companions to humans, now dwell in exile after an unsuccessful rebellion. When her life is turned upside down one evening by the arrival of Cosmo, a kind and enigmatic robot who seems to be operated by Christopher – Michelle’s brilliant younger brother whom she believed had passed away – the story unfolds.
Eager to locate her supposedly missing sibling, Michelle embarks on a journey across the American southwest accompanied by Cosmo. Along the way, she unwillingly teams up with Keats, a shady smuggler, and his sarcastic robot companion, Herman. As they delve into the Exclusion Zone – an isolated desert region where robots now thrive independently – Keats and Michelle encounter a peculiar band of mechanized allies. In this strange group, they discover that the forces behind Christopher’s disappearance are darker than they initially assumed.
