What happens in The Deliverance trailer?
In the trailer, Day portrays a devoted mother of three, whose world is turned upside down when mysterious dark forces take control of her children. The sneak peek showcases some of the movie’s heart-stopping moments, such as an exorcism scene starring Oscar-nominated actress Aunjanue Ellis. This chilling tale draws inspiration from the real-life experiences of Latoya Ammons, who encountered unexplained supernatural events upon moving into a new home in 2001.
“Ebony Jackson, a hardworking single mom trying to overcome her inner struggles, decides to make a fresh start by moving her family into a new home. However, odd occurrences within their new residence raise red flags with Child Protective Services, putting Ebony and her children in danger of being torn apart. Determined to protect her family, Ebony engages in a desperate fight for survival against unseen forces.”
As a gamer, I’m excited to share that I’ll be embarking on an intriguing journey with “The Deliverance,” a new project helmed by the talented Lee Daniels, who also penned the screenplay alongside Elijah Bynum. After our successful collaboration on “The United States vs. Billie Holiday” in 2021, which earned Viola Davis a well-deserved Golden Globe for Best Actress, we’re teaming up once again.
