What is the new version of The Crow about?
In a fresh spin on the classic story, Bill Skarsgård assumes the famous character The Crow, as depicted in this contemporary adaptation inspired by James O’Barr’s original graphic novel. In the plot, soulmates Eric (portrayed by Skarsgård) and Shelly (FKA Twigs) suffer a tragic end when their past demons finally catch up with them. When given an opportunity to rescue his beloved by giving up his own life, Eric embarks on a relentless quest for vengeance against their murderers. By navigating the realms of both life and death, he aims to rectify the injustices done to Shelly.
The movie was penned by Zach Baylin and William Schneider, with performances by Danny Huston, Josette Simon, Laura Birn, and Sami Bouajila. Edward R. Pressman, Samuel Hadida, Victor Hadida, Molly Hassell, and John Jencks took on the roles of producers.

The movie featuring Skarsgård is the fifth installment of The Crow series. The original film, directed by Alex Proyas, was led by the late Brandon Lee, who sadly lost his life during production. The sequel, “The Crow: City of Angels,” was released in 1996, followed by two direct-to-video productions: “The Crow: Salvation” in 2000 and “The Crow: Wicked Prayer” in 2005.
