The Creep Tapes: Next Installment of Mark Duplass Horror Franchise Sets Series Release Date

As a devoted fan of the Creep franchise, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming series, The Creep Tapes! Having binged on Creep and Creep 2 countless times, I’ve grown accustomed to the chilling atmosphere, the unsettling tension, and Mark Duplass’s unforgettable portrayal of Josef/Peachfuzz.

The Creep Tapes has set an official release date.

In simple terms, “The Creep Tapes” is an upcoming TV show that continues the storyline from the Creep series. The character played by Mark Duplass, named Josef/Peachfuzz, returns for this new installment. This series will be available to watch on Shudder and AMC+ when it premieres.

When is The Creep Tapes’ release date?

By the specified date, which is November 15, 2024, the initial two installments of “The Creep Tapes” series will make their debut on both Shudder and AMC+. Subsequent episodes from the six-part season will be released weekly, every Friday thereafter.

As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this: “In ‘The Creep Tapes’, inspired by the Netflix originals ‘Creep’ and ‘Creep 2’, I step into the twisted psyche of a solitary serial killer who offers videographers a paid gig to record his life. But as the camera starts rolling, the eerie intentions of this guy start showing up in his bizarre actions. If you join this project, beware – you might’ve just signed up for your own demise.

In a new development, Patrick Brice – renowned for directing Creep and its sequel – takes charge of directing all six episodes in The Creep Tapes series. Together with Mark Duplass, Brice pens the script for the show, also assuming executive producer roles alongside Mel Eslyn, Jay Duplass, Chris Donlon. Shuli Harel joins them as a co-executive producer.

Approximately eleven years ago, Patrick Brice and I shared a week at my cabin using a compact digital camera, as Mark Duplass stated. The outcome was an eerie, unsettling found-footage horror film that we believed no one would watch. Now, carrying on this bizarre tradition in the series format is like a real-life nightmare unfolding.

Courtney Thomasma from AMC Networks stated, “Patrick and Mark have crafted two extraordinary and suspenseful tales within the realm of psychological horror through ‘Creep’ and ‘Creep 2’. Their work has cultivated a massive fanbase and captivated audiences. We’re ecstatic to collaborate with them in expanding this beloved franchise, as we unravel six gripping episodes that delve deeper into this twisted narrative and the antics of Peachfuzz.

Creep and Creep 2 are currently both streaming on Netflix.
