As a long-time fan of The Conjuring franchise, I can’t help but feel a sense of bittersweet nostalgia as Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson bid their on-screen marriage adieu with the wrapping of The Conjuring: Last Rites. For over a decade, these two have brought the Warrens to life, delivering chills and thrills that have left audiences around the world captivated.
The movie titled “The Conjuring: Last Rites” has completed its filming process, and lead actress Vera Farmiga shared on her social media platforms her joy over marking the conclusion of a significant chapter in the horror series.

More recently, Farmiga, known for portraying Lorraine Warren with Patrick Wilson’s Ed Warren across The Conjuring series, posted a picture on social media showing them dressed in wedding garb as Ed and Lorraine.
In the article, Farmiga reminisced about Wilson concluding his work on the movie, and also her own wrap today, marking the end of what she referred to as “an extraordinary period” that they were a part of, which she described as “quite a tumultuous time.
5000 days ago, my co-star and I agreed to a WB contract and committed to playing Ed and Lorraine Warren. Today, he finishes filming. For the next 12 hours, we’ll share laughter and madness together, then suddenly, he will leave the set, remove his sweaty demonologist costume, shave off his sideburns, reveal his charming smile, and end our make-believe marriage. I must admit, I’m feeling emotional today. It was a divine pairing, Patrick Wilson. What an amazing chapter in our lives. Here’s to 12 years! I treasure you, my friend.
Last Rites” marks the fourth and concluding film in the primary series of “The Conjuring” movie franchise. This series started with the first film that hit theaters in 2013. “The Conjuring: Last Rites” will be helmed by director Michael Chaves, who previously directed “The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” in 2021 and “The Nun II,” which is also set within the universe of “The Conjuring.
The Conjuring: Last Rites is currently scheduled to premiere on September 5, 2025.
