The Best Early Game Weapons In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon

In the game titled “Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon“, you’ll journey through the gloomy realm of Avalon filled with monsters, spirits, zombies, and even more sinister entities. In this unforgiving landscape, you’ll find yourself in dire need of assistance. However, your most reliable allies will be the numerous weapons you’ll come across during your adventure.

In the opening stages of the game, you’ll embark on your initial journey through The Horns of The South, a treacherous region teeming with adversaries eager to eliminate you at every turn. To ensure your survival, it’s crucial that you arm yourself as extensively as possible. Here, we’ll guide you through the process.

The Best Early Game Weapons In Tainted Grail: The Fall Of Avalon

In the early stages of the game, you’ll find a variety of weapons, but some of these can be hard to acquire. Our goal was to ensure that players could get the most effective weapons as quickly as feasible.

Cut-Off Hand

Damage 8-12 Damage

Is it the most potent weapon available? Not exactly, yet it delivers reasonable damage during the initial stages, let’s be honest, we’re talking about a limp, detached zombie hand here. Honestly, I can’t think of anything more to explain.

Redcap’s Dagger

Damage 11-14 Damage
How To Get Dropped by Redcaps

As a gamer, one of the early creatures I encountered in Avalon was the Redcaps. They were known for dropping some top-notch daggers that could set me up nicely at the start. All I needed to do was take them down, grab their loot, and voilà! Armed and ready for battle, if daggers happened to be my preferred weapon.

Grindylow’s Hammer

Damage 23-25 Damage

Alternatively, if you’re after a stronger weapon, consider defeating Grindylows instead. They will drop hammers that can be equipped, significantly boosting your attacking power, though this comes at the expense of reduced attack speed and stamina usage.

Hexed Bow

Damage 13-14 Damage

In the course of the game, you’re likely to come across the Enchanted Bow first, which isn’t a game-altering weapon by itself. However, its unique ability to dish out both physical and magical damage makes it a versatile tool in your arsenal. This is particularly useful against enemies that are more vulnerable to magic than physical attacks.

Swift Dagger

Damage 10-13 Damage

As a fan of swift, agile combat, I can’t stress enough how essential it is for Dexterity-based characters like myself to secure this weapon at the earliest opportunity. Its unique ability to boost damage post-Dash makes it an invaluable tool in our arsenal.

Now, depending on your character’s build, you might not prioritize evasive maneuvers or dashing as much. But if, like me, you prefer a more active approach to combat, shying away from parrying and leaning towards agility, then this weapon was tailor-made for you.

Smuggler’s Dagger

Damage 8-10 Damage
How To Get
  • Sold by Balthazar for 2,200 Gold – Horns Of The South – Fortress.
  • Inside a chest in Smuggler’s Bay caves.

As a player, I find this dagger may not deal the most damage, but its unique ability to earn gold from slaying enemies makes it quite valuable. It allows me to accumulate coins for purchasing rare items in different shops across the game. Though the gold gained isn’t substantial, it proves very useful if I can quickly dispatch my foes.

Big Bonk

Damage 40-60 Damage

big Bonk, as the name suggests, delivers quite a powerful blow. To fully utilize its potential, you’ll need to build up your Strength. However, in battles against numerous foes, its heavy attacks generate a shockwave that pushes enemies back, providing an opportunity for healing or retreat if necessary. Despite the high damage figures, it seems unlikely that you’ll find much use for it.

Thunderous Greatbow

Damage 25-30 Damage

As a passionate enthusiast, I can’t help but sing the praises of the Thunderous Greatbow! Unlike other weapons, it requires Mana for fully-charged arrows, but let me tell you, it’s worth every penny. Why, you ask? Well, those charged arrows pack a punch like no other, dealing an impressive 30 points of damage as an area-of-effect attack! This makes the Thunderous Greatbow perfect for clearing out clusters of enemies from any distance you please. It’s truly a game-changer!
