As a seasoned gamer with a penchant for both video games and TV series that delve into the intricate layers of human nature, I must say the casting of Rebecca Hall in “The Beauty” has me intrigued. Her versatile acting skills, as showcased in films like “The Prestige,” “Godzilla vs. Kong,” and “The Night House,” have always left me captivated.
The roster of the cast for “The Beauty” series is growing, as per Variety’s report, with Rebecca Hall joining the already established ensemble in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming FX project.
At present, it’s unclear what Hall’s part will be in the forthcoming project. Although specifics about the storyline are still being kept secret, “The Beauty” is adapted from the comic book series created by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, which was published by Image Comics.
Hall has been a key player in several notable productions, such as Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige, The Town, Godzilla vs. Kong, its successor Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, and The Night House. Coming up next for Hall are the films Peter Hujar’s Day (2025) and Ella McCay.
Who else is in The Beauty cast?
In this upcoming show, Evan Peters – a familiar face to Murphy’s productions – teams up with Ashton Kutcher, Anthony Ramos, and Jeremy Pope. Interestingly, not only are they co-stars, but Peters, Ramos, and Pope will also take on executive producer roles in the series.
In today’s world, people are fixated on external attractiveness, as suggested in this comic. Imagine if there was a method that would make you increasingly attractive day by day. But here’s the catch – it’s transmitted sexually. This intriguing concept is explored in the comic ‘The Beauty’. In this universe, physical perfection can be achieved through a single sexual encounter. However, many have chosen this path unaware of the high price they must eventually pay. Detectives Vaughn and Foster are about to uncover the heavy toll it exacts. Their journey will take them through layers of corruption involving politicians, hostile federal agents, and a lethal mercenary seeking retribution against them.
Murphy is co-creating, writing, and executive producing the television show alongside Matt Hodgson.
As reported by Deadline, the upcoming series will feature both a male and female lead. The hunt is on for an actress who will team up with Peters, Ramos, Pope, and Kutcher. It’s speculated that she might take on the roles of Vaughn or Foster, while Kutcher appears to be portraying a tech billionaire.
Besides Ryan Murphy Television and 20th Television, Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Scott Robertson, Nissa Diederich, and Eric Gitter will take on the role of executive producers for the show titled The Beauty.
