Liza Colón-Zayas reflects on how The Bear Season 5 can shape up

In a recent conversation, the actress who played in Collateral Beauty hinted at possible directions for Season 5 of The Bear, should it be renewed. Although she was vague about the show’s future, she made it clear that she hopes the series won’t come to an end.

Liza Colón-Zayas expressed to Variety, “I’m unsure. I truly am. We’re uncertain about the shift in strategy following Carmy’s departure and focusing on stability instead of creating chaos. I’m wondering if this could impact word of mouth or who might take over. Perhaps it’s a last-ditch effort. Honestly, I’m not sure. Is there any last-minute solution now that time has run out? I’m not certain. I don’t want it to end.

Based on past news, Christopher Storer, the creator of The Bear, has mentioned that he’s already brainstormed concepts he’d like to delve into for Season 5. Yet, he’s also expressed concerns about possible scheduling issues with the cast, which could potentially hinder the start of production for this season.

Furthermore, Season 4 of The Bear presently boasts a critic score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes. Although remarkable in isolation, it’s the lowest-rated installment in the series, which may pose challenges for the development of a potential sixth season.

At the time of writing, FX has yet to officially commission Season 5 for The Bear.
