The Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 “Bred” May Be Returning This Holiday Season

It’s possible that Jordan Brand could bring delight to Air Jordan 1 enthusiasts this upcoming holiday season: whispers of a fall/winter reissue of the Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 “Bred” are gaining traction. Initially announced by Sneaker News, these rumors suggest that the “Bred” version will make a comeback, although under a different product code than the pair that dropped during the NBA All-Star Weekend in February.

As of now, the Hi ’85 model is the closest replica to the original 1985 Air Jordan 1 that has been released so far. When the “Bred” version came back on sale in February, it was only available at 23 stores (not including SNKRS), with a reported production of just 10,000 pairs and priced at $250 USD. Despite the freedom to express opinions in today’s sneaker culture about how sacred items should be preserved, social media was filled with complaints from sneaker enthusiasts who were disappointed because they couldn’t get a pair due to its limited availability.

Yet, die-hard sneaker enthusiasts might find themselves in a fortunate position to enjoy both options later on this year. It’s important to mention, though, that it’s quite rare for a prominent sneaker brand to reintroduce the same shoe under a different product code (SKU) less than twelve months after its debut. This new SKU could possibly represent an updated design or a completely new color scheme.

Despite the current situation, keep an eye out for announcements regarding the possible return of the Air Jordan 1 Hi ’85 “Bred”. If all goes according to plan, it could be available as early as October 18, 2025, marking Jordan Brand’s annual celebration of “Banned Day.
