Director Gavin O’Connor has announced that he and writer Bill Dubuque are working on the script for what appears to be “The Accountant 3“. They aim to include Anna Kendrick, best known for her role in Pitch Perfect, in the upcoming film. This news follows the release of the sequel in theaters about a week ago. At present, The Accountant 2 has a Tomatometer score of 83% on Rotten Tomatoes, which is an improvement of 24% over the current rating of the original 2016 movie.

In a recent conversation, O’Connor hinted at the possibility of Kendrick playing a part in The Accountant 3. Remarkably, it was shared that the Academy Award nominee is considering returning to her character, Dana Cummings, from the 2016 film.

[He] mentioned that we’ve had some initial discussions. Personally, I find myself drawn to another mystery film project, one we’ve tackled on two separate occasions,” O’Connor stated. “One topic that has come up in our discussions is the possibility of inviting Anna Kendrick to rejoin us. Perhaps this time Christian will finally receive the affection he deserves.

Ben Affleck remarked, “I guess we’re keeping our fingers crossed that she still feels fondly towards us.” In response, O’Connor told him, “Funny you should say that, Ben. It turns out she and I have been exchanging messages. She’s fully on board if we’re interested.

In a new R-rated installment, director Gavin O’Connor helms the project based on a script penned by Bill Dubuque. The main cast for Daredevil: Born Again includes Jon Bernthal as Brax, who is the sibling of Affleck’s character. Alongside Bernthal are Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Daniella Pineda, Allison Robertson, and J.K. Simmons. Ben Affleck, Lynette Howell Taylor, and Mark Williams are producing this production.
