The Accountant 2’s Ben Affleck on His 1 Batman Regret

Actor and movie director Ben Affleck pondered if he had any regrets about playing Batman/Bruce Wayne, who he portrayed in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as well as other DC Extended Universe (DCEU) productions.

Reflecting on the role he had to give up to become Batman, Affleck jokingly commented, “I guess I missed out on that.” More recently, in a conversation about it with his now 16-year-old son, Fin asked, “Aren’t you Batman, right? At some point, way back when,” to which Affleck replied, “Don’t worry about it.

The actor who played The Accountant 2’s Batman discussed his appreciation for the character. He emphasized that while the image of Batman in Dawn of Justice is highly iconic and legendary, the truth is that he’s getting older, past his prime, and dealing with aches and pains. Affleck mentioned that their interpretation of Batman was influenced by Frank Miller’s graphic novel The Dark Knight Returns, stating, “I enjoyed playing it, and I enjoyed making it.

During the same interview, Affleck shared that he strongly disliked donning the Batman suit when discussing the upcoming film “The Flash” in 2023, and also offered his thoughts on what set Zack Snyder’s “Justice League” (2021) apart.
