The first trailer for The Accountant 2 has been released.
In 2016, the movie “The Accountant,” directed by Gavin O’Connor and starring Ben Affleck as Christian Wolff, premiered. Both O’Connor and Affleck will be back for the upcoming sequel, “The Accountant 2,” set to arrive in theaters this April.

What is The Accountant 2 about?
Christian Wolff, portrayed by Ben Affleck, excels in resolving intricate puzzles. After an old contact is assassinated and leaves a mysterious note saying ‘find the accountant’, Wolff feels compelled to investigate. As the case deepens, he decides to enlist the aid of his estranged brother Brax, played by Jon Bernthal, who is extremely dangerous. Alongside U.S. Treasury Deputy Director Marybeth Medina, they delve into a lethal conspiracy, eventually becoming targets of a merciless group of assassins determined to keep their dark secrets hidden.
In the movie, it was Bill Dubuque who penned the screenplay. Ben Affleck, along with Lynette Howell Taylor and Mark Williams, takes on the role of producers.
Apart from Affleck, Bernthal, and Addai-Robinson, The Accountant 2 will have J.K. Simmons return as Ray King. Additionally, Daniella Pineda and Allison Robertson are among the new cast members.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, O’Connor emphasized that he aimed to create a lively, engaging film. Instead of a plain action movie, he desired to make an emotional production that would captivate the audience. To him, such a film dealing with human connection and love was an intriguing aspect to delve into.
Affleck expressed his excitement about working with Bernthal once more, stating, “I adore Jon not just as an actor, but also as a person. I believe our friendship will naturally portray the sibling bond in this role.
In theatres only, “The Accountant 2” will make its debut on April 25, 2025, distributed by Amazon MGM Studios under Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s label.
