Thanos Could Return to the MCU ‘Sooner Than You Think,’ Rumors Suggest

As a long-time Marvel fan who’s seen more than a few comics fly off the shelves and countless movies grace the silver screen, I must say, the possibility of Thanos returning to the MCU has me positively giddy! If you remember, I was one of those fans who had their heart broken when he snapped away half the universe in Infinity War. Now, with whispers of his return, I can’t help but feel like a kid on Christmas morning.

Following some tough times following the Endgame phase, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) is now aiming for a triumphant return with its upcoming projects. After focusing on Jonathan Majors’ Kang, Marvel Studios has switched gears and introduced Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom as their primary antagonist across multiple dimensions instead. However, whispers have been circulating lately that hint at the potential resurrection of Thanos in the MCU once more.

Thanos is reportedly set to return to the MCU

Based on current rumors, it appears that Marvel Cinematic Universe might be intending to reintroduce Thanos in the near term.

As a gaming enthusiast, I stumbled upon some exciting news earlier today. It all started when MyTimeToShineHello, who’s known for being in the know, dropped a hint on their platform about the return of Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. They suggested that his comeback might be closer than we imagine. Now, this intriguing piece of information was further supported by Comic Book Movie, a trusted source, claiming that Thanos would indeed make a reappearance for Avengers: Secret Wars. So, buckle up, fellow gamers and Marvel fans! It looks like the Mad Titan is preparing to return to our screens sooner than we thought!

Based on recent hints from behind the scenes, it appears that the rumor about Stephen McFeely writing Avengers: Secret Wars might hold some truth, although Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed this yet, according to Game Rant’s report.

Additionally, it’s confirmed that Joe and Anthony Russo, who have previously worked extensively with the MCU, will be directing the upcoming Avengers films. This means that the creative team for Avengers 6 is already familiar with Thanos, a resident of Titan. Furthermore, the likelihood of Thanos’ return appears strong given his extensive backstory in Marvel comics.

In the 2015 comic book series titled “Secret Wars,” the Mad Titan, Thanos, engaged in a fierce confrontation against Doctor Doom, who had been significantly empowered and was known as God Emperor Doom. Throughout the storyline, Thanos encountered a formidable foe that ultimately managed to shatter his body during their battle in Secret Wars.

Currently, there’s no confirmed news about Thanos possibly reappearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
