Thalapathy Vijay's The GOAT uncut version to release on OTT? Here's what director Venkat Prabhu has to say

As a dedicated follower of Tamil cinema for more than two decades now, I must say that Thalapathy Vijay’s “GOAT” has been one of the most exciting and anticipated films of the year. The fact that it has already joined the 100 crore club is no surprise – Vijay’s charm and the film’s high-octane action are a winning combination.

Thalapathy Vijay’s highly anticipated movie, The Greatest of All Time (GOAT), is currently doing well in cinemas. Since its release on September 5, it has been breaking box office records and now belongs to the prestigious 100 crore club. For those who haven’t had a chance to catch it at the cinema, there’s good news! It looks like you might be able to stream it on Netflix as early as four weeks after its theater debut. That’s correct! According to recent updates, this blockbuster film could become available for streaming on Netflix soon.

In a chat with a Tamil news outlet, director Venkat Prabhu revealed that the initial length of the film “GOAT” was significantly longer. The creators are now thinking about making the extended version, approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes long, available on streaming platforms. It’s worth noting that the censor board reduced the final runtime of “GOAT” to 3 hours and 3 minutes for it to be given a U/A certificate.

As a devoted fan, I eagerly anticipate that Venkat Prabhu and his crew will unveil the previously cut scenes from the blockbuster movie “GOAT,” featuring the charismatic Vijay, on their social media platforms once the film’s cinematic run has concluded.

Furthermore, it seems that the expanded version of GOAT is rumored to hit Netflix, boasting all cut scenes. Some of these deleted scenes even feature amusing instances involving Vijay’s younger character in the movie. Unfortunately, the producers have yet to reveal when this film will be streamed on OTT platforms.

Fans are thrilled about the upcoming sequel to Thalapathy Vijay’s record-breaking movie, as hinted at in the film’s closing credits. Those who haven’t seen it yet can look forward to GOAT 2, also known as GOAT vs OG, which features acclaimed director Venkat Prabhu as the villain.

Instead of continuing the storyline centered around the main character, it’s said that the upcoming sequel will introduce a new antagonist. There’s been lots of chatter on social media about Ajith Kumar potentially taking on a significant role in the follow-up to GOAT, but neither Venkat Prabhu nor the filmmakers have made an official statement yet.

However, with Vijay retiring from showbiz, it is yet to be seen who might feature in GOAT vs OG.
