On Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 8:30 p.m., Thai BL series “Century of Love” aired its conclusion on channel One31. The story revolves around two characters, San (played by Daou Pittaya Saechua) and Wee (portrayed by Offroad Kantapon Jindataweephol), exploring their romantic journey together. This piece delves into the ending of Century of Love and offers potential spoilers for viewers.

In Episode 10 of Century of Love, we see Wee conducting the last rituals for his grandmother who has passed away. Following the funeral service, Wee sheds tears and laments that everything seems difficult now since San has also departed. He expresses his feeling that everyone he cares about is leaving him. Concurrently, the toxic substance persists in spreading through San’s system. In his sorrow, San clings to Wee’s scent as he yearns for him. Simultaneously, Tao appeals to the divine at a shrine, imploring for his life to be spared.

Third accuses San of not supporting Wee during a difficult time in his life. Later, Wee asks Third to care for him after he passes away. When Third later checks on Wee, he finds out that San has vanished after using a five-colored healing stone on Wee. Wee pleads with Third to take him to find San, as he doesn’t want to live if it means San might die because of him.

When Wee encounters San, San feels it’s his fault that he’s in such a condition. But San clarifies that he’s already lived for a century – a hundred years. He expresses gratitude for having saved Wee, asking him not to bear the guilt. After Wee begs San not to abandon him once more, San says he doesn’t want Wee to witness him in this state. Yet, Wee insists on staying with San until his final moments. In response, San apologizes and assures Wee that he won’t depart anywhere now.

Daou Pittaya spends final moments with family

As a seasoned photographer with years of capturing precious family moments, I can wholeheartedly say that the bond between loved ones, especially during trying times, is truly heartwarming and humbling to witness. The story I’ve just read showcases a beautiful display of unity, resilience, and hope among the characters—a testament to their deep connections.

The next day, the family visits the shrine for San’s last day. At this location, Tao instructs San to pray as midnight approaches, while Tao will conduct a ritual to guide his spirit. Prior to that, San expresses gratitude towards Rat and Chu for taking care of him throughout the years. He also asks Wee to take care of himself. All of a sudden, Wad interrupts the ritual and presents a tiny piece of the Five-Colored Stone. Unfortunately, she had broken it earlier and kept the remaining shard.

Does Daou Pittaya’s character San die in Century of Love?

In agony, San is revived following a brief spell of death, as Wee calls upon Tao to conduct the 100-year reverse ritual. With time rapidly dwindling, Wad offers comfort, holding Wee’s hand and placing a stone in San’s mouth before he loses consciousness. Midnight strikes, and Wee verifies that San is no longer breathing. Yet, San miraculously regains life. Tao declares that the Goddess has responded to their plea, and he proceeds with further prayers, asking the deity to shatter the 100-year destiny tie. Confirming San’s revival when his eyes open, Wee shares the news with others.

In addition, Chu queries Tao about who Wa’s reincarnation is since both the girl and Wee provided food to San. Tao replies that it’s irrelevant because San has opted to love Wee instead. He suggests that maybe the Goddess intends for them to leave the past behind and focus on the present moment.
