Finally, after years of anticipation and some initial production challenges, the Cybertruck has not only achieved a positive gross margin but also climbed up to become the third best-selling electric vehicle in the US! It’s truly exciting to see Tesla’s innovative designs gaining traction in the market.
In Tesla’s Q3 2024 financial report, there was considerable emphasis on the highly discussed Cybertruck. Notably, for the initial time since its launch, the production of the Cybertruck recorded a positive gross profit margin.
In their third-quarter earnings report of 2024, Tesla discussed their latest vehicle. The company mentioned that Cybertruck production had grown from previous quarters and for the first time, it managed to secure a positive gross margin. This was noted in the Vehicle Production segment of the report.
In addition, Tesla boasted that the Cybertruck ranked as the third most popular electric vehicle sold in the U.S. during the third quarter. Currently, it trails behind Tesla’s Model Y and Model 3 models.
