As a long-time horror enthusiast who’s seen more slasher flicks than I care to count, the news of Terrifier 4 sends shivers down my spine, and not just because it’s October! The first Terrifier movie was a breath of fresh air in the genre, and the sequels have only solidified Art the Clown as one of the most terrifying villains in modern horror.
Terrifier 4 is in the works.
The initial Terrifier film came out in 2016, with Terrifier 2 appearing in 2022 and Terrifier 3 slated for release in U.S. theaters next month. In each of these movies, David Howard Thornton portrays the character Art the Clown.

At Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas, on Thursday, September 19th, Leone was questioned about the upcoming installment of the franchise. His response was affirmative: “Indeed, we’re planning for Terrifier 4.
Leone has previously expressed his intention to create Terrifier 4. In an interview with Business Insider in February 2023, he shared, “I am currently writing Terrifier 3. I definitely plan to make at least one more. There could potentially be two films to fully tell this story and cover all the ideas I have in mind. There’s a lot more ground to cover with Art the Clown, the pale girl, Victoria, and Sienna as our final girl. We will be tracking her journey until the end of this series.
In a theater near you in the United States on October 11, 2024, Terrifier 3 will be screening. Joining star Terrorton, this movie features Lauren LaVera portraying Sienna Shaw, Elliot Fullam as Jonathan Shaw, Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria “Vicky” Heyes, Chris Jericho as Burke, and many more talented actors.
