As a long-time WWE fan who has witnessed the rise and fall of numerous factions, I find myself deeply intrigued by the current state of The New Day. The once unbreakable bond between Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E seems to be cracking under the pressure of personal ambition and external forces.
The rivalry between Xavier Woods, a member of The New Day, and his fellow group member, the former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston, is growing more intense. In this past week’s episode of WWE RAW, Xavier Woods squared off against Jey Uso for the Intercontinental Championship.
A week ago, Kofi Kingston told Xavier Woods that he was scheduled for an Intercontinental championship bout with Jey Uso. Woods voiced his disappointment, feeling he should have been chosen instead. Yet, Kingston explained that he had actually offered the match to Woods, who declined, and it was Jey Uso who accepted the opportunity instead.
As a die-hard fan, I was bursting with anticipation, convinced that I could clinch the title against Jey Uso. But during our bout on the latest WWE RAW episode, I found myself struggling to gain traction, ultimately losing to Jey Uso. After the match, I felt a wave of disappointment wash over me, but Jey Uso graciously helped me up. Shaking hands with Kofi Kingston, Jey Uso reached out his hand to me, but I chose not to reciprocate and walked away instead.

In an unexpected twist, Bron Breakker stormed into the wrestling arena to assault Jey Uso. Kofi Kingston stepped in to shield him, but unfortunately ended up getting attacked instead. Interestingly, just a week ago at WWE RAW, Breakker had praised Jey for his victory.
While Kofi Kingston was attending to him, Xavier Woods suffered another attack at the hands of Bron Breakker, as he hurled a spear at Woods outside the ring. After the WWE RAW event, both stars engaged in a heated discussion.
Xavier Woods expresses confusion to Kofi Kingston
After the RAW event, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston had a heated discussion over Woods’ defeat and Breakker’s assault. Kingston challenged Woods on his failure to shake hands with Jey Uso or offer assistance during the attack.
Xavier Woods voiced annoyance over constantly being assigned the role of taking charge, particularly following their loss to Uso for the Intercontinental Championship. He felt he shouldn’t meddle in the dispute between Uso and Breakker. When Kingston inquired about this possibly becoming their new modus operandi, Woods confessed that he wasn’t certain what their current course of action was anymore.
For quite some time now, WWE has been subtly suggesting growing friction within The New Day’s group. As their 10-year anniversary nears, fans can’t help but speculate whether a separation might take place during this significant event. Only the passage of time will reveal the truth.
