The Telangana Women’s Commission has publicly criticized movie makers for including explicit dance scenes involving women. As per a report from Aakashavaani, the commission has warned that it will impose firm penalties on those disregarding this guideline.
As a committed supporter, I’d like to share that the commission has made it clear they will pursue legal measures against directors, producers, and choreographers who incorporate inappropriate or explicit dance steps involving women within their music videos.
Following a series of recent Telugu films encountering public review, this choice stems from the backlash that the song “Adhi Dha Surprisu” from the movie Robinhood, featuring Nithiin, has received due to its suggestive dance choreography, as expressed by online users.

Previously, a comparable dispute emerged concerning the song “Dabbidi Dibbidi” from the film “Daaku Maharaaj”, featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna. Online users were swift to voice their disapproval of the song and its choreography, labeling them as offensive and awkward to observe.

As a devoted advocate for women’s rights, I am now taking a strong stance alongside the Telangana Women’s Commission, aiming to prohibit such suggestive dance moves in films moving forward.
