The fact that an astrologer, Venu Swamy, has been summoned by the Telangana State Women’s Commission for his controversial predictions is a testament to the power and influence these public figures wield.

The Women’s Commission in Telangana State has called upon astrologer Venu Swamy for a discussion, as he made controversial predictions about the possible divorce of actors Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala. This action follows a complaint lodged by the Telugu Film Journalists’ Association (TFJA). The commission requests that Venu Swamy explains his statements and clarifies his position regarding this issue, which they are now investigating.

On August 22, Venu Swamy has been summoned to attend the commission’s hearing. The Film Journalist Association and Telugu Film Digital Media Association made a complaint, which prompted the Chairperson of Women’s Commission, Ms. Nerella Sharada, to issue this summons on that date.

It is said that the Telangana State Women’s Commission has requested Venu Swamy to give a reasonable justification for his statements.

For those not familiar with it, Venu Swamy sparked uproar by forecasting a separation between the couple in 2027, allegedly due to a third woman’s involvement. This prediction, shared in a video that swiftly became popular, ignited fury among fans and the public alike.

Swamy’s forecast sparked instant controversy due to people criticizing him for making vague and possibly damaging comments concerning the private matters of prominent individuals. The Telugu Film Journalists Association (TFJA) was particularly upset by this, resulting in a police report being filed against Swamy for his remarks.

In light of the criticism, Venu Swamy sought to explain his stance, explaining that his prophecy was a continuation of remarks he had previously made about Chaitanya marrying actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. He expressed remorse for causing a stir and vowed to avoid making more predictions about celebrities’ future events.
