The chance to witness the culmination of the competitive season in Japan, Tekken’s home country, is a dream come true for me!
At EVO 2024’s closing event on Sunday, Bandai Namco shared exciting updates about Tekken 8. Katsuhiro Harada and Michael Murray from the Tekken Project team revealed significant plans for the game’s competitive scene. The culmination of this year’s Tekken World Tour will reach new heights as the final competition is stretched over a thrilling four-day period.
Harada and Murray announced that the Tekken World Tour Finals 2024 would take place in Japan, specifically Shibuya, Tokyo, for the initial time. The event will determine a Tekken champion among the assembled competitors. The group stages are scheduled for December 5-6. The Last Chance Qualifier is slated for December 7. Ultimately, the champion will be crowned on December 8. This marks the first instance in Tekken’s history where the finals span a four-day duration.
