Tekken 8 boss has actually tried to contact Waffle House about a collab

For the past year, there’s been an intriguing development hinting at a potential Waffle House stage in Tekken 8. This idea seems more promising than ever, at least conceptually. Following some popular tweets last year, Tekken director Katsuhiro Harada admitted he has indeed been in touch with Waffle House, but without achieving the desired results. However, he’s also posed a question to fans, asking if they could possibly arrange something similar to Waffle House obtaining the license.

Katsuhiro Harada recently posted on Twitter about a possible collaboration between Tekken 8 and Waffle House. He mentioned that he reached out to them but had limited response. Therefore, he’s asking fans if they would accept a diner-themed stage even if it wasn’t specifically Waffle House.

Harada inquired from fans whether they’d be alright with a place called “Hustle House,” keeping the idea of the performance stage inside a diner, as it currently stands. So far, there appears to be quite a bit of excitement about this idea.

In the upcoming stages of Tekken 8’s Season 2, we can expect the return of Fahkumram, a stage themed around Pac-Man, and significant game updates focusing on balancing and fan satisfaction following an initial challenging season start, as unveiled at EVO Japan 2025.

Version 2.01.00 of Tekken 8’s latest update has been released, marking the start of its recovery process. Here’s hoping that a lively brawl reminiscent of a Waffle House diner will be part of the game’s future developments. Keep an eye on Tekken 8 news and updates for more information.
