Comparing Apple TV+’s decision to renew the series to uncovering a long-buried pet, the actress from Game of Thrones conveyed her enthusiasm for Ted Lasso’s fourth season.
Hannah Waddingham says Ted Lasso Season 4 is like exhuming a ‘beloved dog that was buried’
During a chat with Marc Malkin at the recent Smurfs premiere in LA, Hannah Waddingham shared her excitement about the unexpected renewal of Ted Lasso. She expressed eagerness to see how her character, Rebecca’s storyline, will develop in season 4.
The actress, who is 50 years old, stated, “It seems as if we buried the dearest and most beautiful dog, and now we’ve unearthed it, and I cannot help but be here for this.” She also expressed, “I had a strong desire, a persistent longing to know where Rebecca went, where she was heading. She is mine, part of me. So, I am overjoyed that it has been dug up.
Overwhelmed with excitement for Ted Lasso Season 4, Waddingham expressed her eagerness by stating, “I can hardly contain myself until I’m part of it all again and help pick out her wardrobe!
In a previous interview, Brett Goldstein, who portrays the no-nonsense retired soccer star Roy Kent in the show, made a remark similar to Season 4’s renewal. He shared an anecdote about a university friend who tragically lost their cat in an accident. After burying the deceased pet, they found out that it was still alive and had conducted a funeral for a cat that looked similar. Goldstein compared this situation to Ted Lasso getting renewed, saying, “I feel like that kid, ‘We buried it. We all cried, we had a funeral. Are you saying we can bring anything back?’ It’s too much power.
At the time of writing, Apple TV+ has not yet given an official release date to Ted Lasso Season 4.
