Ted Lasso Season 4 Is Confirmed, But A Key Piece Is Still Missing

As a devoted fan who’s been following Ted Lasso since its debut, I must say, the news of a potential fourth season has me doing the two-step dance in my living room! The show has become an integral part of my weekly viewing routine, much like how football is a part of Coach Lasso’s life.

As a devoted fan, I can’t help but express my admiration for the remarkable transformation of an American football guru into a soccer coach – none other than the inimitable Ted Lasso. This exceptional series has a knack for tugging at our heartstrings with heartwarming scenes that don’t necessitate sadness, making it a truly unique viewing experience.

Although, the sad bits will get you as well.

Following the climax of season three, the future of the series remained uncertain, but now it appears another season is imminent. Yet, one important character from the cast might not reappear.

Ted Lasso Season 4 Confirmed?

Reports indicate that the production of Season 4 may be underway. While this hasn’t been officially verified yet, we’re quite optimistic that this information is accurate.

It appears that the creators have mentioned they’re still in the process of casting for the upcoming season. Only three original cast members – Hannah Waddingham as Rebecca Walton, Brett Goldstein as Roy Kent, and Jeremy Swift as Leslie Higgins – are confirmed to reprise their roles.

We’re yet to officially confirm the participation of Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt as Coach Beard, and Juno Temple as Keeley Jones due to their current SAG-AFTRA contracts nearing expiration. This means they need to negotiate fresh deals for the series to proceed. Nonetheless, we’re optimistic that they will reprise their roles.

The potential loss could be Phil Dunster, famously known as the soccer star Jamie Tart in a series. However, since Dunster has ongoing contracts with Prime Video’s The Devil’s Hour and Apple’s Surface, it remains unclear if he will participate in the production.

The show’s creators have stated that they will hopefully be able to start filming by 2025.

We couldn’t be happier!
