On August 23, it was announced that the streaming service will carry the spy comedy “A Man on the Inside“, starring the comedy veterans from “Cheers, Becker,” and “The Good Place“. This series is set to premiere on Netflix in November.
As a devoted fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the new sitcom by the genius mind behind some of my all-time favorite comedies – Mike Schur. He’s the one who gifted us with the laugh-out-loud funny shows like “Parks and Recreation,” “The Good Place,” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” Now, he’s diving into sitcom territory once again, drawing inspiration from the Academy Award-nominated 2021 documentary, “The Mole Agent.”
A Man on the Inside premieres on Netflix in November
In “A Man on the Inside,” Danson takes on the role of an elderly gentleman named Charles, who unexpectedly becomes a mole in a covert probe after answering a classified ad for a private investigator. Given that he’s not a trained agent, it’s likely that Charles will unintentionally stir up quite a bit of turbulence during the investigation process.
As a gaming enthusiast, I was thrilled to learn about the upcoming release of the new title within the fall season. Alongside this exciting news, Netflix dropped some sneak peeks of the series, giving us a glimpse into Danson’s portrayal of Charles and leaving us eager for more with the characters played by Mary Elizabeth Ellis, Stephanie Beatriz, Susan Ruttan, Lilah Richcreek Estrada, and Stephen McKinley Henderson.
As a passionate viewer, I’m eagerly waiting for Netflix to disclose the official release date of my favorite show. However, peeking into their November schedule—which already includes the premiere of Cobra Kai season 6 part 2, the intriguing series The Madness, and the captivating documentary Senna—I can’t help but speculate when our much-awaited series might surface.
As a fervent admirer, I’m eagerly anticipating the premiere of “A Man on the Inside.” It could potentially air on any Thursday in November, which includes Nov. 7, Nov. 14, Nov. 22, or Nov. 28. However, it appears a Thanksgiving release for this comedy is an unlikely scenario. For now, my guess is that we’ll be watching it during the first weekend of November or the week leading up to Thanksgiving.
In a new collaboration, Ted Danson and Mike Schur are joining forces again following their successful run on the critically acclaimed NBC comedy The Good Place, which spanned four seasons. After the show concluded, Danson took on the lead role in another NBC production, Mr. Mayor, a series co-created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock.
