As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that in update 1.2.6, The First Descendant unveiled leaderboards and fresh stages for the Void Erosion Purge. However, this update has faced criticism due to its alleged secret nerfing of Ines Raya. The changes made to the Void Erosion Purge have also sparked intense debate within the TFD community. Luckily, Nexon has taken our feedback into account and announced significant adjustments to the Void Erosion Purge that will soon be implemented in The First Descendant.
The First Descendant devs reveal imminent fixes for Void Erosion Purge
Based on modifications to the Void Erosion Purge in update 1.2.6, Nexon has disclosed a series of corrections coming to The First Descendant on February 13th, as follows:
* Fix for an issue where players could not progress past a certain point during the “Awakening” quest.
* Resolution of a problem that caused the game to crash when attempting to play with certain character combinations.
* Correction of a bug that prevented players from accessing their inventory after defeating a boss.
* Fix for an issue where the game would freeze upon entering certain areas.
* Resolution of a problem causing the game to become unresponsive when switching between characters during combat.
* Correction of a bug that was preventing players from receiving rewards for completing certain quests or events.
- Increase ATK effect bonuses for weapons in Void Erosion Purge to enhance the impact of core growth.
- Adjust Elite Monsters’ HP to improve progression speed.
- Modify enemy spawns and compositions to reduce frustration from unavoidable attacks, including easing the guided effect of certain attacks.
- Expand public matchmaking to all stages above Stage 25 to resolve matchmaking distribution issues.
The enhancements mentioned earlier will be introduced in the update on February 13th, which is labeled as version 1.2.7. On a related note, Nexon plans to adjust the balance for underperforming Descendants, but this action won’t occur with the update 1.2.7 as it necessitates more conversations and examination beforehand.

Besides detailing significant upgrades, Nexon additionally expressed regret to their fanbase. In their statement, they explain that Void Erosion Purge was created to strengthen weapon mechanics through challenging interactions, but unfortunately, it has inadvertently increased the difficulty level for solo players. This is due to the fact that Season 2 did not incorporate any elements related to defense growth (planned for an update in March).
It’s commendable that Nexon consistently takes the community’s suggestions into account, and history has demonstrated their adaptability in making modifications according to feedback. Here’s hoping that the forthcoming adjustments will address the community’s concerns effectively.
