Following the introduction of its Qi35 series earlier in the year, which has already been adopted by golfers like Nelly Korda and Collin Morikawa, TaylorMade is now introducing an eye-catching new element. Introducing the Designer Series, a set of three limited edition drivers that could very well be the brand’s most visually striking to date.
Among the options available, an understated all-black model is included, which is generally a reliable choice. However, the real eye-catchers are the recently introduced satin gold and platinum variations. From a visual standpoint, both versions exude a refined, surprisingly timeless appeal – they’re captivating without being excessively flashy due to their subtle satin finish. When you flip them over, the soles introduce a striking contrast by combining metallic and matte elements with black accents. In terms of branding, it adheres to the traditional Qi35 design aesthetic.
As a fan, I can’t help but appreciate the unique charm of the Designer Series clubs. What sets them apart is that each one comes equipped with an exclusive premium black headcover, adorned with metallic Qi35 branding in either gold or platinum. Robert Nunez, a talented product designer at TaylorMade, shared that this series allows for limited production which enables them to think outside the box. He explained, “From the sourcing of paints and pigments, the way they’re applied, to drawing inspiration from diverse fields like aeronautics or the automobile industry, it’s an ongoing journey of learning and evolution.
You can purchase the TaylorMade Designer Series Qi35 drivers immediately, with options for both standard and Max head designs, priced at $650 USD each.
