As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that witnessing the interplay between titans like Post Malone and Taylor Swift in the music industry is akin to watching two legendary characters duke it out in an epic RPG battle.
As a die-hard gamer, I’ve got to share my recent experience working with Taylor Swift on her hit Fortnite track from her newest studio album. To be honest, collaborating with the queen of pop was nothing short of intimidating for me. But hey, it turned out to be one of the most listened-to songs on the album!
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but delve into the reasons behind Post Malone’s apparent apprehension when collaborating with Taylor Swift. After all, understanding the minds of our favorite artists adds another layer to their music, doesn’t it?
What did Post Malone say about Taylor Swift?
Post Malone revealed that working with Taylor Swift “was terrifying” for him.
During a sit-down interview with The New York Times on August 8th, Post Malone shared his thoughts on collaborating with well-known musicians. He talked candidly about his recent experiences working with Taylor Swift and Beyoncé.
As a gamer, I teamed up with Taylor Swift on her track ‘Fortnight’ for her newest album, The Tortured Poets Department. She came over to my home studio in LA to lay down a few parts and let me tell you, it was nerve-wracking! I mean, who wouldn’t be intimidated working alongside such talent? I can hardly fathom what it must feel like being at their level—it’s got to be tough!
Additionally, during their conversation about filming the music video, Malone mentioned that Swift required an umbrella and a golf cart adorned with curtains as a precaution against drones and helicopters accidentally filming her.
The rapper shared that he’s never had a face-to-face meeting with Beyoncé, even though they collaborated on a track together. He communicated mainly through texts, and her representative handed him the song in Utah to maintain secrecy and avoid leaks. When speaking about both Taylor Swift and Beyoncé, Malone expressed his gratitude for merely being in their presence.
‘Fortnight (Featuring Post Malone)’ is the initial track from Taylor Swift’s studio album titled “The Tortured Poets Department.” This album hit the shelves on April 19, 2024, following her win at the Grammys in February where she was awarded Album of the Year.
As a music enthusiast, I’m super hyped about Post Malone’s upcoming album titled “F-1 Trillion,” set to drop on August 16, 2024! This is something new for him as it’s his first country album. Can’t wait to hear him collaborate with legends like Dolly Parton, Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, and Chris Stapleton, just to name a few. It’s going to be a real treat for the ears!
