Taylor Swift Fan Is Divorcing Husband for Booing Her at Super Bowl

As a die-hard Taylor Swift fan, I found myself in an unexpected situation at the Super Bowl this year. My husband and I were there to cheer on my boyfriend Travis Kelce and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, but things took a turn when Taylor appeared on the big screen. Instead of the warm welcome I was hoping for, I heard some boos echoing through the stadium. This led me to make a tough decision afterwards – divorce – as my love for Taylor Swift is non-negotiable.

Louisa Melcher, an ardent Taylor Swift admirer, recently expressed on social media that she is ending her marriage due to heckling Taylor Swift during the 2025 Super Bowl, a spectacle they both witnessed together.

In my own words, “I’ve made the difficult decision to part ways with my partner because he showed disrespect during Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl performance by booing. I shared this on TikTok, but I suspect he finds it hard to believe me.

Starting anew can be tough, but nothing compares to the idea of bringing up my daughters with a man who finds it okay to mock women just for being there – as we saw during the Super Bowl, Taylor Swift included. #SuperBowl #TaylorSwift #Relationship #Divorce

Afterward, Melcher displayed the documents she submitted at the court to the audience. She highlighted that the separation date was identical to when the Super Bowl was held.

She explained, “I’m not only acting due to the act of booing, but rather because of what it symbolizes within our connection.

Later on, Melcher shared her long-standing admiration for Taylor Swift; she’s been a devoted fan since she turned 12. Interestingly, even her husband, who had previously expressed disapproval, is also a Swift fan. In their kitchen, he often plays Swift’s music, especially the “Bad Blood” singer, while they cook. His favorite track happens to be “Girl At Home.”

Later on, she highlighted that her spouse was among a group of five friends they were watching the Super Bowl with, and they collectively jeered at the performer. Melcher emphasized that her husband prioritized appearing trendy over considering her feelings, acting more like an immature “teenager” than a mature adult.
