The Super Bowl didn’t go well for Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs suffered a heavy loss against the Philadelphia Eagles, with the final score being more favorable to them than the actual gameplay. Before the game, Swift was met with loud boos from the crowd at the Superdome in New Orleans.
In the first half of the game, Kelce wasn’t particularly impressive as he didn’t catch any passes and didn’t contribute significantly to the Eagles’ victory. Given that he is 35 years old and has played for 12 seasons in the NFL, earning a substantial amount of money over his career, it’s reasonable to assume that he could choose to retire if he desired.
The Chiefs set a deadline for Kelce to decide by March 14 if he will play next season or not. If Kelce decides not to play, it could mean that Swift might not be seen at Chiefs games, as she is often spotted cheering on her boyfriend and has become quite familiar on TV broadcasts.
Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce not retiring should make Taylor Swift fans happy
If you enjoy watching Chiefs matches and are a fan of Taylor Swift, here’s some exciting news! Travis Kelce, through a text on the Pat McAfee Show, has hinted that he will return for his 13th season. Since Taylor Swift doesn’t have any tour dates set yet, it theoretically means she could attend numerous Kansas City football games.
Kelce communicated to McAfee, ‘I’m definitely returning next season. I plan on working hard to achieve the best physical condition I’ve ever been in during this offseason and make it back to the top. The way I performed in that last game and how I prepared the team for battle has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I can’t let things end like that!’
2023 seems to be a relatively low-key year for Taylor Swift, as there are no confirmed plans for a new album or live performances at the moment. However, it’s important for a musical artist to maintain some level of visibility to keep fans engaged and prevent them from shifting their interest elsewhere. At 35 years old, Taylor has a long, promising career ahead, so it’s unlikely that she’ll be slowing down any time soon.
As a devoted fan, although I’m unsure if she’s busy crafting new music, I have no doubts that she’ll be there, cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and Travis Kelce live in the stadium. Who knows? With her image beaming on countless screens every football season, maybe it keeps her buzzing with fresh inspiration and staying relevant!
