A year ago, I found myself at Tango Gameworks as Microsoft decided to close our studio. Fast forward to now, and we’re back in action under our new parent company, Krafton. As we embark on this fresh chapter, I’m excited to share that we’re indeed developing a brand-new action game here at Tango Gameworks!
This morning, Tango Gameworks unveiled a fresh website and new branding. In a recent update on their social media platform, they announced that they are actively seeking professionals for various positions at their Tokyo headquarters. These job openings pertain to an upcoming action game that is still in its preliminary stages of creation.
In a shift from their traditional horror genre focus, Tango Gameworks’ latest release, Hi-Fi Rush, marked a new direction. Initially, Krafton planned to extend the Hi-Fi Rush series under Tango Gameworks. However, the studio also intends to develop some fresh, original projects, all while working under the same publisher.
Despite numerous layoffs and studio shutdowns across the industry, Tango Gameworks stands out as an exceptional return from adversity. We’ll have to wait for formal updates about their upcoming project, but keep checking Shacknews for any news when it breaks.
