Early Life & Education

Tamron Hall hails from Luling, Texas, and was born on September 16, 1970. Her mom dedicated her life to education, while her dad served in the U.S. Army for an impressive three decades.

In 1992, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Temple University and later moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area to kickstart her broadcasting profession.

Following his tenure as a general news reporter at KBTX in Bryan, Texas, Hall moved to KTVT in Fort Worth in 1994, where he continued working as a news reporter.

1997 saw her begin her career at WFLD-TV, Chicago. For ten years, she served as a consumer reporter, general news reporter, and the morning show host for ‘Fox News.’

Back in July 2007, Tamron began working with NBC News and MSNBC. During this time, she had the opportunity to conduct an interview with Barack Obama prior to his official presidential campaign announcement.

At MSNBC, Tamron Hall worked as a versatile journalist, handling general reporting duties and occasionally standing in for Keith Olbermann during ‘Countdown with Keith Olbermann.’ She garnered attention following her impressive performances in this role.

From mid-2009 to early 2010, I had the privilege of co-hosting “The Big Picture” with David Shuster. During that period, I also assumed the responsibilities as the weekend anchor and occasionally filled in for Natalie Morales as a substitute anchor.

Between 2010 and 2017, she presented ‘NewsNation with Tamron Hall’ on MSNBC. In 2014, she also joined as a co-anchor for ‘Today’s Take’, which is the third hour of NBC’s ‘Today’ show.

In February 2017, NBC gave Tamron’s co-host role to Megyn Kelly, a former host at Fox News. As a result, Tamron chose to leave NBC and MSNBC.

Back in 2017, I found myself falling for music guru Steven Greener. Our relationship grew beautifully, and by 2019, we decided to make it official by getting married. In the same year, we were blessed with our precious son, Moses Mitchell Hall Greener, who arrived in April.
