Tamannaah Bhatia Trolled: Mysore Sandal Soap Controversy EXPLODES!

After being named the brand ambassador for the renowned Mysore Sandal Soap by the government of Karnataka, Tamannaah Bhatia achieved even greater prominence in the industry. This lucrative deal, valued at approximately Rs. 6.2 crore, was recently sealed and is expected to continue for a period of two years.

The Baahubali actress will not only serve as a representative to advertise soap products but also promote any other items from Karnataka Soaps and Detergents Limited during the upcoming two years.

However, it seems this appointment has been met with massive backlash from the Kannada audiences.

The social media post’s comment area is currently brimming with opinions that the chosen actress was not the best pick.

Online users suggested that Tamannaah Bhatia’s apparent lack of proficiency in the Kannada language could make her an ill-suited choice as the brand ambassador for a product cherished by generations, given its deep cultural significance over several decades.

Additionally, there was discussion among other social media users about the reason behind the Karnataka government’s decision to cast a Hindi actress instead of numerous Kannada stars such as Rukmini Vasanth and other promising actresses in the region.

Meanwhile, the deal, worth Rs. 6.2 crore, also received criticism from the masses.

For those not familiar, the renowned Mysore Sandal Soap is consistently among the top-selling and iconic soaps in Karnataka, and across India as a whole.

The well-known cosmetic brand chose Mahendra Singh Dhoni as their inaugural brand representative for the very first time.

Speaking as a lifestyle enthusiast, I must say that Tamannaah Bhatia continues to shine brightly in the entertainment industry with her wide-reaching projects. Recently, she graced our screens in the movie “Odela 2,” which managed to hold its own at the box office.
