Tales of the Walking Dead’s Danny Ramirez cast in new movie, Pursuit of Touch

As a fan who’s been following Danny Ramirez’s journey from “On My Block” to “Top Gun: Maverick,” I can confidently say that this man is unstoppable! His latest project, “Pursuit of Touch,” co-written with Jeremy O. Harris and set to hit the silver screen soon, promises a gripping tale of action, suspense, and human connection in the digital age – talk about a winning combination!

As a devoted fan, I recognize Danny Ramirez for his remarkable performances in “Top Gun: Maverick” and the Disney+ series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.” For fans of “The Walking Dead,” he’s the captivating Eric from the season final episode, “La Doña,” in the spinoff, “Tales of the Walking Dead.” Excitingly, according to Deadline, Ramirez has landed his next role in the upcoming movie “Pursuit of Touch.”

Ramirez collaborated on the script for “Pursuit of Touch” alongside Jeremy O. Harris, who is renowned for creating “Slave Play” and was nominated for a Tony Award. Together with Niv Gafny, Tom Culliver, Harris, and Josh Godfrey under their respective companies Pinstripes and bb2, Ramirez will also produce the upcoming film. At present, the director for the movie remains undisclosed.

In this rendition, Ramirez’s persona, an Afghanistan War veteran living a secluded life, embarks on a rescue mission for his preferred webcam model who finds herself ensnared in a dangerous conspiracy. The narrative initially appears as a one-man-mission story but evolves into something profound, offering insights into the complexities of human relationships in a digital age.

Danny Ramirez – upcoming roles and more

Just finished wrapping up filming for “Captain America: Brave New World,” an extension of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” series. I’m thrilled to be back as Joaquin Torres in this upcoming adventure! In this movie, Torres steps into the role previously held by my buddy Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), as he takes up the mantle of Falcon. Can’t wait for you all to see it on February 14, 2025, as part of Phase Five in the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

In addition, he is set to appear as a character called Manny in the second season of HBO’s hugely successful show “The Last of Us,” which is due for release in 2025. This new season will be inspired by the 2020 video game, “The Last of Us Part II.”

Ramirez is known for his roles in shows like “Black Mirror”, “On My Block”, “The Gifted” and others. In 2022, he acted alongside Lili Reinhart in the Netflix romantic comedy “Look Both Ways”. This movie presents an interesting plot where it explores two different outcomes for the character Natalie (played by Reinhart) when she faces a critical decision. The story unfolds showing both the paths she could take.

As a fervent admirer, I’d like to highlight that you can catch him acting alongside Natalia Dyer and Rachel Keller in the drama “Chestnut,” streaming on Prime Video. This gripping tale follows a young woman who finds herself embroiled in a complex relationship with two individuals during the summer following her college graduation.
