As a longtime survivor of the post-apocalyptic world depicted in The Last of Us, I can’t help but feel a mix of emotions upon seeing the latest teaser for Season 2. On one hand, the anticipation is palpable – it’s been too long since we last saw Ellie and Joel navigate the harsh realities of their world. But on the other hand, I can’t shake off the fear that comes with every new chapter in this story.
Anticipation for The Last of Us Season 2 has been high, but recently, a new trailer from Max confirmed that we can expect the sequel in the upcoming year. This trailer offers a glimpse into the continuation of Ellie and Joel’s journey, as well as showcasing Catherine O’Hara’s performance in the series. Check out the teaser below!
As a long-time fan of post-apocalyptic storytelling, I can confidently say that the second season of HBO Original Series #TheLastOfUs is something I’m truly excited about. Having grown up on tales of survival and resilience, I find myself drawn to narratives that explore the depths of human connections in a world where hope seems lost. The first season left us with cliffhangers that had me on the edge of my seat, and I can only imagine what more is in store for our characters in this post-apocalyptic landscape. With its gripping plotlines, masterful acting, and stunning visuals, I believe that Season 2 of The Last of Us will be a must-watch for fans of the genre, as well as those who appreciate thought-provoking storytelling about the human spirit. Bring it on, 2025!

In this scene, there’s not much detail given, but we can tell that Pedro Pascal’s character, Joel, is being questioned by Catherine O’Hara’s character about his actions. In response, Joel states plainly, “I saved her.” If you’re familiar with the first season or have played the games, you’ll recall that while Joel did indeed rescue her, it came at a significant cost.
The teaser also gives the slimmest glance at Ellie’s iconic fern tattoo. You can make out in the video the outline as well as some shading closer toward the elbow. This seems to indicate that a decent amount of time has passed.
Whether you’ve experienced The Last of Us Part 2 game or are just following the TV series, everyone is eagerly waiting for Season 2. And since there’s more story to tell beyond this season, as confirmed by co-creator Craig Mazin last year, we’ll continue to update you with news about The Last of Us Season 2, expected to be released in 2025.
