In a recent interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show, SZA disclosed that she expressed interest to Swift in penning songs for her.

Each time they meet or she comes near me, I can’t help but feel, ‘Alright, this is happening, because that’s definitely Taylor Swift.’ To be clear, what I expressed was a desire to collaborate with her on songwriting and creating together.

She went on to express her admiration for her storytelling, stating that she found it refreshingly open. SZA, too, commended the ‘Fortnight’ artist’s character. She further noted, ‘I think she’s amazing. She’s truly empowered.’

Fans of Taylor Swift are speculating that “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)” will be released in 2025, following an Easter egg hint she dropped during her iHeartRadio Awards 2025 acceptance speech. In the video speech, Swift donned her signature red lipstick and a snake chain, reminiscent of her “Cruel Summer” persona.

In her “Reputation” era, Swift frequently used red lips and snakes as recurring themes. This has led fans to speculate that she might be hinting at a re-release of the album this year. Moreover, Swift herself has shared that the music from “Reputation” will carry a strong “goth-punk” vibe and will be heavily influenced by “female rage”.

In her 2023 Time interview, Taylor Swift openly discussed the process of re-releasing “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)”. She excitedly stated that this new version would embody a “goth-punk expression of female fury, directed towards being manipulated by an entire societal system.

In the re-release of his album, Swift might add some new artists to the song list who will join forces with Ed Sheeran and Future, as they were collaborators in the original version. Remarkably, this album ranked first in a 2024 New York Times list compiled by Caramanica among Swift’s eleven studio albums.
