The most recent video was posted by TMZ, showcasing exclusive ring footage of Sweeney sparring with Christy Martin, the real-life boxer who will be portrayed in an upcoming movie. Dressed like Christy from the film, Sweeney and Martin engage in a friendly sparring session. It remains uncertain whether this scene will appear in the movie or if it’s just some fun interaction between them during production.

Additionally, TMZ published some early snapshot previews from the film, showcasing Sweeney portraying Martin, who was pictured inside her home, gazing at a Sports Illustrated magazine that had her on its cover.

In a yet-unnamed film, Sweeney is set to portray Christy Martin, a groundbreaking boxer who became the first female inducted into Nevada’s Boxing Hall of Fame and later into the International Boxing Hall of Fame. This movie will delve into Martin’s journey to stardom in the world of boxing, but it will also shed light on her harrowing experience with attempted murder by her husband in 2010.
In collaboration with Sweeney, the film that Black Bear is bankrolling will feature Ben Foster, Merritt Weaver, Ethan Embry, Jess Gabor, Katy O’Brian, Chad L. Colman, and Tony Cavlero in its cast. At this time, there is no released information concerning the movie’s premiere date.
