Sweet Home’s Go Min-Si K-Dramas & TV Shows

As a huge fan of K-dramas and K-movies, I’ve been fortunate enough to witness the meteoric rise of Go Min-Si in the South Korean entertainment industry. Her exceptional acting skills have left me in awe, and her versatility as an artist never fails to impress.

Min-Si, a South Korean actress, is set to feature prominently in the upcoming third season of the popular K-drama “Sweet Home.” In this installment, she portrays Lee Eun-Yoo, an essential character who teams up with Cha Hyun-Soo, played by Song Kang, for the climactic fight. Min-Si has recently left a lasting impression on audiences through her recent stint on season 2 of “Jinny’s Kitchen.”

Min-Si became well-known among young actresses in 2018 due to her captivating performance in The Witch Part 1: The Subversion, a Korean movie. Her exceptional acting skills were recognized and awarded with the Popular Star Award at the 7th Korea Best Star Awards ceremony that year. Moreover, Min-Si continued to shine in the K-drama world by winning the title of Best New Actress at the SBS Drama Awards 2019 for her role in Secret Boutique.

Let’s look at some of Go Min-Si’s K-dramas and TV Shows:

Sweet Home (all three seasons)

In the Netflix series “Sweet Home,” there are three parts or seasons. The last part is set to debut on July 19, 2024. In this Korean drama, Min-Si portrays Lee Eun-Yoo, the elder sister of Lee Eun-Hyuk, played by Lee Do-Hyun. Although her storyline wasn’t central in the first season, it became more prominent in the second. Driven by the search for her lost brother, who was presumed dead at the end of season 1, she transformed into a monster slayer.

In the latest game release, I come across Eun-Hyuk once again, and this time we’re not just catching up – we’re joining forces! Hyun-Soo (played by Song Kang) is on board too, and together we prepare for the ultimate showdown. Our foe? None other than Pyeon Sang-Wook, portrayed by Lee Jin-Wook. The cast also includes Lee Si-Young, Yoo Oh-Sung, Oh Jung-Se, Kim Mu-Yeol, and Jung Jin-Young, who add depth to this intriguing storyline.

Love Alarm

Love Alarm is a 2019 South Korean drama series. The second season was released on Netflix in 2021. According to Netflix’s description, “In a society where an app notifies individuals if someone nearby has a crush on them, Jo-Jo Kim navigates young love while dealing with personal challenges.”

At first, Jo-Jo (Kim So-Hyun), who’s still in high school, doesn’t download the app since she doesn’t own a smartphone. Consequently, she remains oblivious to Lee Hye-Yeong’s (Jung Ga-Ram) feelings for her. In order to determine if Hye-Yeong is genuinely smitten with her, his close friend Hwang Sun-Oh (Song Kang) plants a kiss on Jo-Jo instead. The ensuing events create complications in their friendship and give rise to a love triangle.

Go Min-Si, an actress, portrays the role of Park Gul- Mi, who is Jo-Jo’s cousin in the series. Known for her popularity at school, Gul-Mi exhibits traits of self-centeredness and egotism. She harbors feelings towards Sun-Oh, while Duk-Gu, a developer, admires her. Throughout both seasons, the character displays various emotions, ranging from jealousy to empathy.

Jinny’s Kitchen Season 2

Recently, Min-Si Go joined Jinny’s Kitchen franchise as a new team member. She took over the intern role previously held by BTS V, or Kim Taehyung. The popular variety show features Lee Seo-Jin, Jung Yu-Mi, Park Seo-Joon, and Choi Woo-Shik in its cast.

In season 1, my favorite duo, Woo-Shik and V, were interns at their Korean eatery located in Bacalar, Mexico. With V now serving in the military, a new intern has joined our team. She’s called Min-Si, and she hopped aboard when we expanded to Iceland, where we established Jinny’s Ttukbaegi.

Fans can watch new episodes of Jinny’s Kitchen season 2 on tvN and Amazon Prime Video on Fridays.

The Witch: Part 1 – The Subversion

The Witch: Part 1 – The Subversion (2018) is a captivating Korean movie that unfolds the story of Ja-Yoon, portrayed by Kim Da-Mi. This intriguing mystery-thriller also features impressive performances from Choi Woo-Shik, Min-Si, Joo Min-Soo, and Park Hee-Soon.

Following a puzzling occurrence, she experienced memory loss and was taken in by an elderly couple. In her past, she gained entry to a renowned TV show connected to an academy and emerged as the victor. Since her television debut, peculiar individuals have surfaced in her world. Her once mundane existence undergoes drastic transformation. Simultaneously, Min-Si portrays Do Myung-Hee, Ja-Yoon’s closest friend on screen.

In addition to the previously mentioned projects, Min-Si has made appearances on well-known TV programs such as Salon Drip and Running Man. She has also starred in several Korean dramas: Secret Boutique and Youth of May. Upcoming for her is a role in the third season of Netflix’s Sweet Home.
