Sweet Home Season 3 Character Names & Their Roles in Netflix Series

As a dedicated fan of the thrilling and suspenseful drama “Sweet Home,” I am beyond excited for the upcoming release of Season 3 on Netflix. With each new installment, the stakes get higher, the twists more unexpected, and the characters more complex.

In the third season of “Sweet Home,” both new and familiar faces make an appearance. Several actors have become part of the cast for this newest edition. Nevertheless, Song Kang portrays the protagonist Cha Hyun-Soo, while Lee Jin-Wook continues to embody the antagonist Pyeon Sang-Wook.

In the primary acting lineup for season 3, we have Lee Do-Hyun, Lee Si-Young, and Go Min-Si joining the show. According to the official summary, “The world hovers on the edge of monstrosity versus humanity, forcing tough decisions upon mankind as desires collide, leading to a fierce battle.” The final installment of Sweet Home is set to debut on Netflix on July 19, 2024.

What are Sweet Home season 3 character names? What are their roles?

In the third season of “Sweet Home,” the principal characters are played by Song Kang as Cha Hyun-Soo, Lee Do-Hyun as Lee Eun-Hyuk, Go Min-Si as Lee Eun-Yoo, Lee Jin-Woo as Pyeon Sang-Wook, and Lee Si-Young as Seo Yi-Kyung.

In the upcoming third season, Kang, portrayed as Hyun-Soo, is set to make a significant return. Previously in season 2, his presence was limited due to minimal screen time. However, he made an appearance towards the end, reconnecting with Eun-Yoo and gaining insights into other characters such as Ji-Su (Park Gyu-Young). The finale of season 2 primarily focused on Hyun-Soo’s transition into his monstrous form. Consequently, season 3 will highlight Hyun-Soo’s internal battle between retaining his human nature and succumbing to the evil within him.

As a big fan of K-dramas, I’ve had the pleasure of witnessing the remarkable acting skills of this versatile actor. He has truly stolen my heart with his captivating performances in romance dramas like “Love Alarm,” “Nevertheless,” and “My Demon.” Yet, what left me utterly surprised was his impressive portrayal in an apocalypse genre production. His ability to adapt to different genres is a testament to his dedication and versatility as an artist.

Lee Jin-Wook as Pyeon Sang-Wook/Ui-Myeong/Sang-Won

Jin-Wook’s character in Sweet Home goes by different identities. Initially introduced as Pyeon Sang-Wook in season 1, he met his end in the finale. In season 2, Ui-Myeong inhabited Sang-Wook’s body. However, Ui-Myeong is not the real identity of the character; instead, he is actually Seo Yi-Kyung’s lost fiancé, Sang-Won. Sang-Won was once a test subject for the government, leading him to seek retribution in the third season. His ultimate goal is for neo-humans to dominate the world, making him the primary antagonist.

Jin-Wook, the actor from Doona!, has featured in numerous dramas and films during his professional journey. Upcoming projects include a role in the second season of Netflix’s hit series, Squid Game.

Lee Do-Hyun as Lee Eun-Hyuk

I’m excited to share that in the third season of this show, Do-Hyun, who we thought had perished at the Green Home building by the end of season 1, will make a surprising return as Lee Eun-Hyuk. The season 2 finale hinted at his survival, and now, we’ll witness him transforming into a monster! In an unexpected alliance, Eun-Hyuk teams up with Hyun-Soo. Together with Eun-Yoo, this trio prepares for the ultimate showdown against Sang-Wook in the final battle.

I’ve had the privilege of bringing various compelling characters to life in well-known dramas and films. Beyond Sweet Home, my resume includes Death’s Game, Exhuma (the movie), The Good Bad Mother, Youth of May, 18 Again, and The Glory.

Min-Si portrays the character of Eun-Yoo, who is Eun-Hyuk’s sister, in the drama series. In the second season, Eun-Yoo sets out on a quest to find her missing brother during each episode. An exciting reunion between the siblings is anticipated in the upcoming season. Moreover, Eun-Yoo will team up with Eun-Hyuk and Hyun-Soo for the climactic battle. Noteworthy, Min-Si has collaborated with Kang and Do-Hyun before, in “Love Alarm” and “Youth of May,” respectively. At present, Min-Si can be seen gracing the screen on Jinny’s Kitchen season 2, filling in for BTS V (Kim Taehyung).

In an unexpected turn of events, Seo Yi-Kyung, portrayed by Si-Young, is making a shocking comeback in season 3 of the series. Although the finale of season 2 suggested her demise, the latest trailer presents a contrasting narrative. This time around, her character is revealed to be half-human and half-monster. The actress behind this intriguing role is an accomplished artist with an impressive resume that includes projects like “Boys Over Flowers,” “The Guardians,” and “My Beautiful Bride.”
