This week, Spain’s fashion retailer SVD (Sivasdescalzo) will be hosting the Willy Chavarria x adidas Originals Spring/Summer 2025 collaboration at their Madrid store. A unique pop-up shop experience has been prepared for this event.

The recently revealed assortment consists of two releases, one debuting on May 8th, and includes several streetwear items showcased during the designer’s fashion week presentation. Designed to highlight Chavarria’s narrative about Mexican “Chicano” culture, the first collection offers oversized black tracksuits adorned with red adidas branding and rose emblems, wide-opening mid-length shorts, and a vintage-inspired sweatshirt. The launch is further enhanced by the Chavarria Jabbar Low, a dressier adaptation of the popular 1978 basketball shoe.

At Spain’s exclusive retail location for this debut collection, SVD orchestrates a captivating store takeover, leveraging the two-tone theme of the line. The central hall, now adorned with bold red walls, showcases an amalgamation of campaign visuals and dual brand logos, while red spotlights illuminate the ceiling. To enhance the dramatic, slightly eerie atmosphere, vintage candelabras and cascading roses are thoughtfully positioned among mannequins and clothing racks displaying the ready-to-wear collection.
