As a fellow retro actor, I had the privilege of meeting director Bharathiraja, and shared in his sorrow over the untimely loss of his son. His tears flowed freely as we spoke, but I held his hand and provided comfort during this difficult time. The veteran filmmaker was deeply affected by this tragedy, yet I stood by him, offering a shoulder to lean on as he grieved.

Manoj Bharathiraja hailed from India and was a versatile figure in the Tamil film industry, both as an actor and director. Born to renowned filmmaker Bharathiraja, he kick-started his career with the movie “Taj Mahal” in 1999. Among his notable works are films like Samudhiram, Kadal Pookkal, Eera Nilam, and Viruman.

Prior to taking on leading roles, he gained experience as an assistant director. During this time, he collaborated with his father and Mani Ratnam in Mumbai. Subsequently, he became part of S.
