Suriya drops a hearty shoutout for Chiyaan Vikram’s upcoming release Thangalaan: ‘This win will be…’

As a die-hard fan of Tamil cinema, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing some truly mesmerizing transformations on screen, but none quite like Chiyaan Vikram’s in Thangalaan. The man has outdone himself yet again, leaving us in utter awe with his tribal avatar.

Veteran actor Vikram has left fans spellbound with his stunning transformation for the upcoming movie “Thangalaan,” set to hit theaters on August 15, 2024. Ahead of its release, it is none other than Suriya who has expressed warm wishes for Chiyaan and the entire team behind Thangalaan.

On his social media platform (previously Twitter), Suriya shared an intriguing poster of Thangalaan, showcasing Chiyaan Vikram in a striking tribal costume. He also expressed his support for the film and expressed optimism for its success at the box office, writing “#Thangalaan…! This victory will be monumental!!”.

Coincidentally, Suriya’s tribute to Chiyaan Vikram’s movie surfaces amidst recent discussions about Vikram being questioned regarding having fewer fans compared to Suriya and Ajith.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: Recently, at a press conference for his movie Thangalaan, Chiyaan Vikram encountered an unexpected query from a journalist who bluntly pointed out that he has fewer fans compared to actors such as Suriya and Ajith Kumar.

In his answer, Chiyaan remained composed and quickly retorted, “You’ll understand that when you meet my fans in the theater.”

The interaction didn’t stop there; then, another reporter boldly asserted that Vikram’s name wasn’t included in the current list of top actors.

Once again, the Sketch actor provided a considerate and composed response, saying, “It’s not crucial to be on the leading hero list for me. What truly counts are the everyday spectators. To my mind, every person somehow admires me as a fan.”

Vikram’s film titled “Thangalaan,” helmed by director Pa Ranjith, boasts an impressive ensemble cast including Malvika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Preeti Karan, Pasupathy and more. The movie is gearing up for a strong debut, despite competing with numerous other films at the box office.

Meanwhile, Suriya is busy with not one but two upcoming projects. The first, titled Kanguva, is scheduled for release on October 10, 2024. Following closely is the yet-to-be-officially-titled Suriya 44.
